My Story
Welcome! My name is Lizzy Mui and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in May of 2017. In addition to over seven years of teaching and childcare experiences, I have a passion for photography, technology, and creative marketing.
Ever since I had started going to school, my favorite class had always been art. From drawing and painting pictures to molding clay and graphic designing - I loved it all! Beyond some basic guidance from my teachers and professors, I learned most of the skills that I have today through self-exploration. Whether I was learning how to operate a camera by watching YouTube videos or searching online about how to create logos on a new graphic design program, I was always determined to learn new skills one way or another.
I spent most of my senior year in college working with a local nonprofit organization as the Creative Marketing Intern at The Center for Suicide Awareness in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. I had the opportunity to advocate and support individuals who were affected by suicide and mental health. During my time at The Center, I collaborated with the Executive Director, Barb Bigalke, and other members of the board to help strengthen their brand and promote The Center’s free resources. The HOPELINE, which is a free text-based emotional support line that is available 24/7, was one of the very important resources that I focused on advertising within the state of Wisconsin.
I am passionate about capturing the most positive aspects of a business through my work and enjoy working with new technologies. As a result of my hard work and dedication, The Center was able to connect with more community members who were in need of resources and support. My internship experience has taught me to be extremely self-motivated and willing to learn each day. If you or someone you know may be in need of resources, please check out The Center's new website by clicking on the link below. I am always here if you need someone to talk to.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my artwork and photos. Art and photography will always be a hobby of mine, but I hope to gain the skills that I need to make it a career some day.
